Bethany Piotter is an Elementary Education major with a minor in STRAT II, Severe Disabilities at the University of Northern Iowa.  As a freshman, Bethany started an all-inclusive dance company winning the “Most Promising New Student Organization” award in 2016. Bethany has been awarded the United for Acceptance award through PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. Soon after, Bethany started all-inclusive theatre programs and then turned her efforts into a nationwide nonprofit, Shine On, Inc. to give others the tools to start similar programs in their own communities. There are currently three branches at different universities.
