UNI Spectrum Project Drama
Being dramatic means different things to different children. Students with special needs can be very receptive but have challenges expressing what they are feeling, thinking or want to do. This session will take attendees through activities and strategies directors in the Spectrum Project use to help children be expressive in drama.

Megan Lanning is a senior at the University of Northern Iowa majoring in Leisure, Youth and Human Services, with an emphasis in Nonprofit and Youth Development. After graduating in May and completing her internship, she's planning to work in a faith-based nonprofit organization involving children. After being involved in numerous volunteer opportunities, Megan's passion is for working with kids and changing their lives in the best way possible. The organization that has impacted Megan the most has been the Spectrum Project. She started with the Spectrum Project in January of 2018 as a volunteer buddy and it changed her life in a way she will never forget. This spring semester, Megan has accepted the position as an Assistant Drama Director for the Spectrum Project and is loving every second of it!
